While it’s Still Day

“I must work the works of Him who sent Me while it is day; the night is coming when no man can work” (John 9:4).

There still is a mighty work to be done in reaching the unreached! Though it seems we are nearing the setting of sun in this world as shadows lengthen across our paths, night has not come yet. There is still time to shine for Jesus in this darkening earth.

Many times during our travels these past six years as field directors we have come to villages that lack electricity. When the sun eventually would set, I always felt like the darkness enveloped me. It was often so dark that I couldn’t see my hand in front of my face. However, one little match would change everything. That small flame could light candles and even ignite a bonfire.

What about the light God has placed inside you? Never underestimate the gifts and talents the Lord has entrusted to you. Let your light so shine before men and leave the results with the Lord.

“Workers for Christ are never to think, much less to speak, of failure in their work. The Lord Jesus is our efficiency in all things; His Spirit is to be our inspiration; and as we place ourselves in His hands, to be channels of light, our means of doing good will never be exhausted. We may draw upon His fullness, and receive of that grace which has no limit” (Gospel Workers, p. 19).

Go shine while it is still day! Don’t waste one moment, for nightfall is approaching.

Thank you all for being faithful teammates with us in this work. We appreciate all your prayers, love and sacrificial giving.

Shine brothers and sisters! Jesus is coming very soon!
