Remember

We have nothing to fear for the future, except as we shall forget the way the Lord has led us, and His teaching in our past history” (Testimonies for the Church, volume 9, p.10).

Daily we are seeing new restrictions, travel bans, limits on gatherings, closures and rising numbers of infected and deceased. It seems there is no “norm” anymore except in adjusting daily to the fluctuations of life. However, there is one constant, and we need only to remember: “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever” (Heb. 13:8).

The Lord has impressed me to take this time to remember how He has led us in the past, how He is caring for our present, and how He is author of our future. It seems each day that new praises are on my lips for His tender, amazing care.

My dear brothers and sisters, remember that “God is faithful who has promised” (Heb. 10:23), and “we know whom we have believed in” and can trust all with Him (2 Tim. 1:12). In this time of worldwide panic, you can have “peace that passes all understanding” (Phil. 4:7) by remembering your Lord, relying upon Him and trusting Him through it all.

You are not alone. Remember, He has promised, “I will never leave nor forsake you” (Josh. 1:9). Remember, “the suffering of this present time is not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us” (Rom. 8:18).

We are also remembering you in prayer. Thank you for being amazing teammates through your prayers for us (which God is answering), your love of the unreached (whose lives are being changed), and your sacrificial giving (without you, we could not go).

Remember and stay faithful, beloved. Jesus is coming very soon!
