“We would like you to be our tenants,” said James. “We are aware of your budget and are willing to rent to you for that amount. Will you consider it?”

This offer did not need much considering. It was truly an answer to prayer and a gift from God!

The story of how we met James and his wife Helia has God’s fingerprints all over it. James and Helia stayed with Laurence Burn, now AFM’s Training Director, when they attended a course at Andrews University some years ago. In June 2011, Laurence was passing through the UK after a visit to the Irish projects with Graham, and I arranged for him to take the Sabbath School mission spot at our local church. James happened to be the Sabbath School program leader that day and was thrilled to meet up with Laurence again, who introduced us to James.

James and Helia’s names were among those given to us by the associate pastor as individuals who would be interested in being part of a small group. We contacted them, and they kindly agreed to host the Bible study group in their home. Now, as their tenants, we can continue to host and lead this group. Please pray for James and Helia and their family as they commence pastoral employment in western England.

By the time you read this article we will have moved into our new home. It is a two-minute walk from my office, a minute from our local church, and a five-minute walk from the school where Lynette does a lot of English teaching during the summer. It will also provide Graham with a dedicated room for an office and a place for missionaries to come and stay. Praise God from whom all blessings flow!
