No More Missionaries

We have a lot to share with our neighbors and with people all over the world. Not only can Jesus save us and make us new creatures, but He promises a world beyond what we can even imagine. No more hospitals because there will be no more sickness or dying; no more police or jails because there will be no crime or violence. No more bills. No more smog, smoke or graffiti. No more starvation, amoebic dysentery or pestilence. No more hurt feelings, criticism or mistrust. All of God’s created beings will be motivated by His love within them.

And no more missionaries! All will have accepted the Lord as their Savior. On unfallen worlds, we will teach and share our testimonies of redemption. What an amazing place that will be!

People will joyfully abide by the laws of heaven as God’s character dwells within them. It will be their pleasure to live in an atmosphere of agape love. “All will be a happy, united family, clothed with the garments of praise and thanksgiving—the robe of Christ’s righteousness. . . . The years will move on in gladness” (7 Bible Commentary, p. 988).

Until this becomes a reality, we are to work while there is light and encourage others with the promise of the new life now with Jesus, and for eternity in the new earth. As we prepare to leave for Cambodia, India, the Philippines and wherever else God leads us, we pray that we will recognize those who want to live in a place where there will be no more sin.

“Nevertheless we, according to His promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness” (2 Pet. 3:13).
