Lack of Knowledge

May was pediatric stroke awareness month, and I shared on social media about how our three-year-old had suffered a stroke. I want to raise awareness about pediatric strokes. Unfortunately, many people do not realize that kids can get strokes, too, even in the womb. One of my friends introduced me to a beautiful family that went through an experience similar to ours in which her six-year-old son had a massive stroke. Sadly, he was misdiagnosed at the hospital and sent home. This family had to see their little one go to sleep in Jesus because he didn’t receive timely medical help.

Every time I think about this, the first part of Hosea 4:6 comes to my mind: “My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge … .” So many people in the world are ignorant about many different things, and it impacts their health, marriages, parenting and many other facets of life. I pray for everyone who does not have a full understanding of the gospel or has not even been introduced to it yet. Join us as we prepare for our work in Ireland where there is a passing knowledge of God, but not an intimate knowledge of Him as Lord and Savior. We long to get to Ireland soon to continue what God has been doing through the Dysert family and many others who have faithfully served there.

“How beautiful upon the mountains are the feet of him who brings good news, who proclaims peace, who brings glad tidings of good things, who proclaims salvation, who says to Zion, “Your God reigns!” (Isaiah 52:7).
