Are You Listening?

“That’s impossible. Don’t even try it.”

After two C-sections, the idea of a natural birth was met with disbelief. Yet, this story began with a quiet certainty when we found out we were expecting our third child, a girl. From the start, my wife, Sumarie, believed this birth would be different. She felt God calling her to a natural delivery, and her peace about the call only grew stronger.

I, on the other hand, struggled. The trauma of our first emergency C-section and the doubts of well-meaning voices around us filled me with fear. But Sumarie’s unwavering faith inspired me. As I brought my fears to Christ, He slowly transformed them. Worry turned into trust. Fear gave way to hope.

We approached everything carefully: seeking guidance, monitoring each step, and preparing our hearts. At 34 weeks, we flew to the U.S. for our missionary training, still unsure how everything would unfold. Here, we met with a midwife who was willing to support our journey.

On April 24, contractions began. By midnight, we were headed to the birthing center. Just three hours later, at 3:00 a.m., our daughter, Daniyél Wentzel, was born—naturally, safely and beautifully.

The victory was not just physical, it was also spiritual, bringing to our entire family a much-needed healing and restoration from previous negative birth experiences. It reminded us that God redeems what feels lost and writes new stories when we let Him lead.

Sometimes God calls us into spaces that seem impossible. The real question is: When we believe we have heard His voice, are we willing to step out in faith—even when others, with good reason, may not understand?

God still speaks. The only question left is: Are you listening?

If you sense the Lord is calling you to join our team, we would love to partner with you to reach the unreached in Czechia.
