Nora Konrad

AFM – Europe, Short-term missionary for 2025-2026, serving the Otammari people of Benin, Africa.

My name is Nora Konrad. I’m 19 years old and grew up in Germany with three wonderful siblings. Both of my parents were raised in Christian, Adventist homes, and so was I. I had a beautiful childhood, full of love and faith, but everything changed when my parents divorced when I was 12. From that point on, I struggled for years to understand who I was and what I truly wanted in life.

Even in the confusion, I always knew the answer had to be found in God. After several years of Bible studies, I was baptized at the age of 16.

Unfortunately, not long after, I lost my way. I began exploring things that pulled me away from my faith and went through what people sometimes call a “party phase.” But I thank God that He didn’t leave me there. He opened my eyes and helped me see that this lifestyle would never bring true peace.

Since then, God has gently begun to heal my heart—step by step—and draw me back to Himself. For more than a year now, I’ve seen how He’s been preparing me for something greater. That journey led me to AFM, where I now see how He’s shaping my story for His purpose.

Today, I can look back and begin to recognize the masterpiece God is painting in my life. Things I once didn’t understand are becoming clear.

“For My thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways My ways,” declares the Lord. (Isaiah 55:8)

I now want to follow His path with joy, share the gospel, and be a blessing to others, wherever He may lead.
