A lot of our ministry involves traveling throughout and sometimes outside of the capital city:
-visiting local SDA believers
-visiting local non-Christian friends
-traveling to language classes
-visiting believers outside of the capital city
-attending events within the city hosted by the COI staff
Mass public transportation (buses, trains, etc) is essentially nonexistent, so for the most part our family is traveling my motorbike (5 people) within and outside of the city. Occasionally we have to take a taxi if we’re traveling far or we have too much stuff with us.
With a 5-7 seater car, our family will be able to fulfill the above ministry needs more efficiently and safely. In fact, without a car, our family will soon be unable to travel without renting taxis since our 3 kids are growing. Outside of the ministries listed above, we also intend to help our local believer and non-believer friends occasionally escape the noise and bustle of the city – finding quiet, natural spaces that facilitate deeper, more meaningful reflection and conversations.
