About the People Group

The Animists of Central Africa speak various tribal languages, live in poverty and subsist on farming, herding or fishing. Their land is a mixture of desert, prairies, marshes and woodlands.

About the Project

The Animists of Central Africa are a kind people who live in fear of the spirits (demons) who control their lives. Animism includes ancestor and place-oriented worship. Efforts to evangelize these people have produced only a few converts. Much prayer and intercession are still needed to bring them to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ.
