Remembering Friends

As I walked toward my seat in the large camp-meeting auditorium, a lady flashed a beautiful smile and motioned me over to sit with her. She began asking me all sorts of questions about my family, our speaking schedule, our fundraising . . . I answered her questions, happy to meet someone who cared so much.

Afterward, I left to sit with my family, trying to remember who this lady was and where I might know her from. No matter how hard I searched my mind, I couldn’t place her.

A month later, when I made a thank-you phone call to a recently pledged donor, they told me how happy they were to have seen me at camp-meeting. That is when I finally figured out who this lady was.

It builds my faith to meet so many of our prayer warriors, donors and friends when we attend various churches and events. But, unless we greet you by name, it would save us a lot of head scratching if you would introduce yourself and tell us how we are connected. There are many things on our minds, and we are happy to find friends who want to know what is happening on our project.
