Guided

Sun sparkled on the water, and a rainbow shone through the fountain’s mist as I stood beside the river drinking in the scene around me. I was visiting this Irish community to research its viability for future work.

My thoughts were interrupted by a phone call. It was the Irish Mission President. Would I be willing to meet with an African lady who lived just across the border about 90 minutes away? I had her phone number and the name of the town but no address. I was told she lived near the police station. Would I find her?

As I drove, I prayed that the Lord would guide me to her, or at least to the police station. As I arrived in town, the traffic was heavy. I followed its flow toward the town center, trusting God to show me the way. At a traffic light, a “town center” sign pointed right, but the road was blocked by traffic. I felt impressed to go straight ahead. A mile later, I came to the police station! I parked the car and gave thanks to God who, once again, had guided me on my journey.
