Five hundred years later, you can still hear the hammer blows all over the world as AFM missionaries pound on the ancient doors of Buddhism, Hinduism, Islam, animism, and humanism, nailing up Christ’s invitation to reformation, primitive Godliness and ultimate wholeness.
This is not our work, it is God’s. He holds every missionary, every unreached heart and every outcome in His hand. Called by His spirit and holding onto His unlimited power, we cannot fail.
In AFM’s model of heart-to-heart evangelism where everything hinges on relationships, children can be the key to reaching entire clans. You’re never too young to be a missionary!
Do we have faith that He will provide all we need to answer His call?
I have to admit that, for 18 years, I have been using this little editorial corner to point out the myriad ways in which our missionaries are unique, amazing, exceptional, unconventional people. Now I fear I may have had it wrong all this time. They are not unconventional for going. We are unconventional for staying.
What if they were filled with the power of the Holy Spirit and outfitted with every provision of heaven’s storehouse? Could they have any doubt of success?
In the midst of their heartache, our missionaries’ commitment to reaching the unreached burns even brighter, because they hold even more tenaciously to God’s promises.
If you are a giver, multiply that blessing by giving to the AFM Student Missions Fund.
I invite you to choose to experience culture shock today, letting your old identity fall away as you embrace heaven’s culture and live as a child of the kingdom.
Someday in eternity when you are reviewing the records of your life history on earth, I predict that you will be utterly astounded at the massive salvos of divine power your heartfelt prayers unleashed.
