“Who made this world?” “Why did Adam and Eve leave the garden of Eden?” Donny, an energetic eight-year-old boy, confidently answered each question as Beth reviewed recent lessons with the Primary class. Then she got to this week’s story and held up a picture of Noah and his sons building the ark. Donny eagerly answered questions as she told the story. Surprised at his knowledge, she asked, “Donny, how do you know all the answers?”
Donny answered, “Oh, I learned them on Sabbath afternoons at Teacher Joelle’s house.”
Donny’s parents are not Christians, but they have allowed him to attend church and spend time at our house. During the week, he and other neighbor boys play with blocks, cars and Legos, but on Sabbath afternoons we pull out the felts and Bible story books and learn more about God and His love for us. Over the last few months, Donny heard the story of creation, the fall, and the flood for the first time in his life. He is eager for every opportunity to learn about God.
Please pray for Donny and for our team here as we seek to share Christ’s love with the Tai-Kadai people.
