AS/CM-01 & AS/CM-02 Entrepreneurs – Workers needed: Two units willing to use a tent-making approach to reach these people. Their government is eager to have business opportunities made available, such as teaching English, computer programming, etc.

The People

These “men of the mountains” are descendants of a group of Chinese who were once the Emperor’s special servants back in the days of the Chinese dynasties. Presently, these animistic people are spread throughout Thailand, Laos, Vietnam, and Western China.

The Project

The Mien are located in a beautiful area known for its tall mountains and numerous caves. A previous AFM Mien project in Thailand has done some research on curriculum and materials for this people group. To learn more, view the project page for Mien
