WADc01-1 Home School Teacher – Teach two girls (grades 6 and 8) and one boy (grade 12) all subjects including English, Language Arts, Phonics, Reading, Math, History/Geography, Science, Arts & Crafts, and music (if possible). Students using A-Beka materials. SM/STM will also study the local language and participate in outreach activities.
Guineans are warm people, and they can be loud, aggressive, somewhat argumentative. Most are illiterate. Their religion is Islam mixed with animism.
The Susu project began in 2000 and is located in the hill town of Fria, north of Conakry. A church and highly-esteemed school are now in operation, and the Seventh-day Adventist influence continues to impress the Muslim citizens of this town. To learn more, view the project page for Susu
