The Call

AF/NH-01 and AF/NH-02 Health/Medical Worker and Farm Development – Workers needed: Two units to provide health education, medical care, and agriculturally-sustainable farming methods for the Hausa. A familiarity with the teachings of Islam would be beneficial.

The People

The Hausa are the largest ethnic group in West Africa and largely straddle a border region known as Hausaland, covering 75,000 square miles. Though all Hausa society is nominally Islamic, many of the rural Hausa are only superficially Muslim and believe in a variety of spirits.

The Project

Possible project sites: Dosso, Niamey, Tillaberi, or Tera. Educating and working alongside the Hausa will create valuable opportunities to discuss the Gospel. To learn more, view the project page for Hausa
