Catch the Spark

Now that Daniel’s health has improved, we have been able to start travelling around and visiting our supporting churches. One of our churches, Twin Peaks Seventh-day Adventist Church in Colorado, has caught the spark of building the Pnong school. The kindergarten class has been fundraising a dollar at a time to help build the Pnong elementary school. They have put together a model of the school built out of Legos. For every dollar they receive, they add a Lego. It has been exciting to watch this project and see how much the children enjoy it. The Lego school is steadily growing.

Another project we have seen is at HMS Richards Elementary School. Each Friday, the students in grades 4 through 6 sell burritos after school to raise money for our school building. They have raised funds for over a year now totaling more than $1,000.

Phase one of the school building project is now complete. Thank you for your donations! This has enabled us to get the building well underway. Our workers have started making blocks, and by the time you read this they will be laying the walls. Phase two of the fundraising will pay for the finish work, some of the teacher housing and a maintenance building.

Will you catch the spark like these enthusiastic kindergarteners and 4th, 5th and 6th graders? Please mark your donation “Pnong School Building.” Thank you.
